An intranet for people who are between assignments
AMAC is the intranet of Atos, a group of 100,000 employees. I led its full redesign as Lead Designer, from welcoming new joiners to the teams' day-to-day work.

AxelA single search at the top of the dashboard.
AxelEveryone chooses which tools appear on their home screen. The problem
The challenge: make the intranet an everyday tool, and finally serve consultants between assignments.
My decisions

Welcoming before asking
On first login, a guided tour introduces the company, the HR portal and the day-to-day essentials (meal vouchers, health insurance, document vault), even before the personal space.
A checklist so nothing gets forgotten
Onboarding moves forward step by step: profile, equipment setup, works council registration, then a checklist of the mandatory tasks for the first days.

AxelAvailable projects are easy to spot without leaving the home screen.Surfacing projects for consultants between assignments
A deliberate trade-off: one-off contributions to projects show up directly on the dashboard of consultants between assignments.
What changed
Projects now reach consultants between assignments.
A deliberate trade-off, in a redesigned intranet that serves new joiners' arrival as well as the teams' day-to-day work.
What I'd do differently
I would have measured from launch whether consultants between assignments were actually finding projects from their dashboard.
